Looking back, I can see how my low self-esteem manifested in various ways – from avoiding social situations out of a fear of being judged, to constantly seeking validation and approval from others, to engaging in self-destructive behaviors in an effort to feel something, anything, other than the deep-seated feelings of worthlessness that plagued me.

It was a vicious cycle, one that left me feeling isolated, hopeless, and utterly lost. I knew that I needed to make a change, but the prospect of rebuilding my self-esteem from the ground up felt daunting, if not downright impossible.

The Turning Point: Recognizing the Need for Change

The turning point came when I hit what felt like rock bottom. I had just experienced a particularly devastating rejection, and the resulting wave of despair and self-loathing was almost too much to bear.
